WELCOME LETTER
The Environmental Equipment and Technology Exhibition (ENVIROTEX) is one of the oldest exhibitions in Vietnam focusing on the environment and eco-friendly products. Between 2006 and 2009, ENVIROTEX was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of Vietnam and the Ministry of Environment of South Korea, with organizational direction from the Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment (VACNE) and the Korea Environmental Industry Association (KEIA). Since 2010, ENVIROTEX has only been held once every five years during the National Environmental Conference chaired by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.
With the aim of creating favorable conditions for domestic and international businesses to connect, exchange ideas, and cooperate in the environmental sector, Global Expo and Event Joint Stock Company continues to coordinate with the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center (BEXCO) – South Korea, along with other partners, to organize ENVIROTEX 2025 from May 25 to 27, 2025, at the I.C.E Hanoi International Exhibition Center – 91 Tran Hung Dao Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi.
With the theme “Solid Waste – Air and Water”, ENVIROTEX 2025 focuses on seeking appropriate technologies and equipment for air and wastewater treatment, aiming to support the resolution of air and water pollution problems currently affecting major cities in Vietnam. This is a highly practical event that enables Vietnamese and Korean enterprises to introduce cooperation opportunities on specific environmental projects that have been, are being, and will be implemented in both Vietnam and South Korea. Based on the outcomes of the forum, the Korea Environmental Industry Association will prepare reports and proposals to submit to the Korean government to promote cooperation between businesses operating in the environmental technology sector within the Vietnamese market.

OVERVIEW OF VIETNAM’S ENVIRONMENTAL INDUSTRY

On November 20, 2023, the Hanoi People’s Committee issued a Plan to implement the Scheme on “Development of the Environmental Industry to 2025” within the city. The development of the environmental industry has been identified as a key element in Hanoi’s socio-economic development strategy, aimed at addressing environmental issues across the city.
The goal by 2025 is to develop the environmental industry into a significant economic sector contributing to the city’s overall economy, fundamentally meeting the demands for environmental protection, and gradually moving toward the export of technologies, equipment, services, and environmentally friendly products with competitive advantages.
Key focus areas include the development of technologies for waste treatment and recycling; environmental analysis, monitoring, supervision, and pollution control; technologies for the sustainable use of resources and environmental restoration tailored to the city’s specific conditions; and the promotion of application and commercialization of research and technological developments.
